London

The college decided not to organise a trip this year. So a few of the girls and i decided we would organise a trip ourselves. We looked into going to London and thought this would be the best option so we booked a hotel for two nights in The Holiday Villa in central London. For research we looked in the V&A at the fashion exhibition. I was very disapointed with the exhibition as it was the same one as a few years ago. Although i did manage to take some usual resources from the V&A that were relevent to my project. Also while in London we went shopping in Oxford street to look into current trends, my favourite shop in Oxford Street was Topshop. On the last day in London i went to ZSL. As i have a fond love of animals this was my favourite part of the trip. I took pictures of the animals for research methods carefully looking at the colours and textures of their skins and furs.

Ideas and Concepts

Im researching into ideas for my FMP. I live in the countryside in North Wales so im going to be using strong influences from this to help me research for this project. although i live in the countryside its on the coast so im extremely close to the sea so im going to incorporate this into my work. Certain areas i will be looking at will be:
  • The colours in the countryside
  • The textures in the hills and mountains and in the beaches and seas
  • The wildlife ( there colours and textures)
  • The types of fashion people wear in my area.
